We are a volunteer community band based in the Town of Whitby, Ontario, Canada. 2023 marked our 160th Anniversary! Our current membership is about 36 players and we feature a traditional British Brass format, using instruments unique to that style of band.

A Brass Band presents a dynamic, bright sound, unique in the music world. If you have never heard us play, take a look at the schedule posted on the events page for upcoming dates and locations. 

The Whitby Brass Band performs at a variety of parades, events and other functions throughout the year. If you would like to book the band for a job, please email us, or write to us at the address on our Contact Us page. We will be happy to discuss any fees once we have details of your request. 

The band is fortunate to have the full support of the Corporation of the Town of Whitby. We rehearse in our own practice room in the basement of the Centennial Building. We always have our doors open to new and visiting players. Please drop in or call if you are interested in playing with us.
